An intimate drama in which the boundaries between subjective and objective realities intertwine. A mother spends a day at the pool with her daughter. After the child slips briefly out of sight, the tranquil, blue water transforms into a whirlpool of fear.

Nina Violić

Nina Violić is born in Rijeka in 1972. She has graduated in acting from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She is an accomplished actress and a leading drama actress of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and to date she has achieved numerous notable theatre, film and television roles, including several awarded lead performances.

As scriptwriter and director, Nina authored one theatre play and two short films: Separation (2014) and The Lamb (2019), which premiered at BFI London Film Festival 2019. Nina’s debut feature Kick and Scream was theatrically released in Summer 2022 in Croatia after winning The Hook Award for best film at the Mediterranean Film Festival Split 2022 and Breza Award for best debutant at Pula Film Festival 2022.
